Merry ol' England

SUMMER...Where do I start, I guess with the most exciting thing we have done!
ENGLAND!!  There were WAY too many pictures (over 1500) to put them on here, but here are some of the highlights...

This is Westminster Abby, where all the coronations take place, also where the royalty has their weddings and funerals. This picture does not do justice. It was so cool, Sky was watercoloring in another location

Greenwich, pronounced Grenich. The prime meridian. In this picture we are straddling Time. This is where 24s hours starts and stops

I had to put up Sky's ball and chain... books! (if you can't tell, the bench is an open book). It was at the Brittish Library where they had TONS of original manuscripts, Beowulf, Beatles lyrics, Greek, Hebrew, Magna Carta, get the picture

I wanted to post this one, although sky is looking away, so that you could see the beautiful garden. This is John Miltons home where he wrote Paradise Lost. All the homes in England are cute cottages, many with gardens.
STONEHENGE! I know it looks like we photoshopped us in here but, we didnt. It was a very cold, windy day but an incredible sight. Also while we were here, Sky randomly was interviewed by a Korean news station. It was so funny! I wish I had a picture of it!

The old, um VERY old structure behind me was a monument from the 12th Century in Stratford, Bill Shakespeares birthplace. Everywhere you look in England you find centuries old buildings right there in the middle of the town. They literally build right on top.

This is the day I left, our anniversary. Sky was trying to help make it a easy parting, I was not interested. Truth be told, neither was he. The professors later told me he had a frown that whole day. Haha, as I look at this picture, it really is a sad face. Sorry to end with this!

The fruit of Sky's pilgrimmage, The gravesite of Tolkien and his wife.

Many of the other journeys that are not documented here include but are not limited to, White Cliffs of Dover, The Globe Theatre (Shakespeare), Wales, many castles, palaces, St. Pauls Cathedral, lovely old little bookstores, multiple museum (like 8), art galleries (including original Van Gogh, Gaugin, Monet, da Vinci), Les Miserable, The Russian Ballet (Swan Lake), Bath (natural roman spring), Tolkien sites, RAF museum (the Royal Airforce), The Old Sarum, Tower Bridge, Tower of London (where the crown jewels are), Big Ben, Punting on the Cherwell, Eagle and Child (Where Tolkien and Lewis met for 25 years to discuss LOTR and Narnia), Oxford, ate at Great Hall (where Harry Potter was filmed), went to platform 9 3/4 (HP again), Abby Road (walked the great crosswalk), rode the trains, tube, and double decker bus everyday....All this and we are still leaving out so much! It was a wonderful trip.

Below is a link to a video Sky and our friend Bryce made. I think Sky found his other LOTR half! The only problem is that you have to login into Facebook to see it. I'm trying to get it in another way but until then PLEASE watch it, it is SO great!

A lot has happened since our last post so in the words of the late MJ...Brace Yourself!

Mom and Mark came out to visit, Sky graduated, and the rest of are filled with family and friends. We love you Mom and Mark!! Thanks for giving up your spring break for a week full of history! I am so proud of Sky, we are excited for the next step! We were so happy to have Matt, Vicki and Nana come and see us, as well as our friend Becky!

This first pic is of St. John's Church in Richmond where Patrick Henry gave his famous speech,"Give me Liberty or give me death."

A church, like this one from the 19th century, has been standing on this exact Jamestown site since 1608!
They picked me up from work and we went to the Natural Bridge, which is behind me. If you follow the path you will see Mark and hopefully that gives you an idea of how HUGE it is! It is historical, I just forgot the facts, Sorry!
MONTICELLO! This was Thomas Jeffersons home. Actually, it wasnt really a home it was a small town. He was so innovative, and his house was completely customized to him. For example, he created a pulley calender in his front room to tell the day and hour of the week. One of our favorite places in Virginia!
This is kind of an intermission photo between the two events, but I wanted to document how long my hair was because I just recently cut my hair to a little below my shoulders. I wanted it much shorter but, hey maybe in a couple weeks...
Clint and I threw Sky and Maria a surprise Grad party about a week before graduation. Here is a pic from the beginning of the party. And for those of you who have not been to our apartment, ours is the second one from the right on the bottom. (there are decorations you just cant see them, :)
This was at Sky's Banquet dinner...
We were so happy Nana could make it down from NY!
It was so fun to have you guys here!
I love this pic of Sky!! So gangsta
Maria (Solomona) graduated at the same time as Sky, sadly to say they just moved to Texas yesterday! They will be sorely missed..........We love you guys!
We are so lucky to be friends with a professional photographer! Thanks Brinn!!
Its a great day to be a Knight! This is our 12 ft mascot statue.

Last but not least we have one more photo, this one needs special space... Sky and I had a little MJ Neverland party and because we didnt have a shirt for him, he dressed in character!! We even had mexican food (MJ loves mexican)

OH MY GOODNESS, I literally just spent an hour and a half posting like 15 pics, explanations and everything and it deleted. If you want to use your imagination I did our whole trip including VA, UT, CA, family, wedding, christmas, birthdays and snow (including a 12 ft snowman). so I'm going to continue this when I have more patience. Other than that we are doing great! :) LOVE YOU

A very diverse couple months!

I have been such a slacker! This is a very long post so view as you will, however I DO wish I could put so many more pictures of family because it was so fun to see everyone! There were many events that happened in the last few months, so here are a few picture updates about our life...

I dont know what happend to our camera on Christmas because I dont have ANY pics of the fam, so if anyone has some, I would love copies! It was SO good to see everyone!! WE MISS YOU SO MUCH!

A couple days after we went shooting with dad, I love this pic of Amber

I love the Huntington pier

Mel, Corbin and I throwing sand, I love little Corbin, and of course Mel too!

He was being so funny in this little tunnel

It was sad to see the trip go, but when we got back Sky surprised me with a night stay at WinterGreen for my birthday. Its a ski resort in VA,and it was beautiful.

We stayed in one of those lodge/condos and right out the back window were the slopes!!

Then to DC for a ward temple trip

And one last picture to show the crazy snow we have been having! It has been so cold. This is looking out from our apartment.

I dont know how the heck this one got so out of order, but I love just stitting around the table to talk!
